Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it.

What we correct. Factual errors of any size: wrong dates, wrong numbers, wrong names, wrong characterizations. We correct in place and add a dated correction note at the bottom of the story.

What we update. Developing stories often need updates as new information arrives. We mark these as updates, not corrections, with a timestamp.

How to flag a correction. Email corrections@example.com with the URL and the issue. We aim to reply within 48 hours.

We keep a log of significant corrections so the public can see how we hold ourselves accountable.
